Tofu, cont.

Wren noted in the comments to my peanut noodles recipe that she has been trying to like tofu. Sometimes that's how I feel - it really needs to be just right. I find if I can crisp it up I usually really enjoy it (and of course the deep-fried stuff is woooonderful).

I spotted this recipe for Hot and Sour Tofu with Aubergine tonight on Hollow Legs, one of my favourite food blogs. It offers some pretty simple-sounding instructions for making lovely crispy tofu using cornflour. I'm definitely going to try that.

Wow. When I was single I lived on Ramen noodle soup. You're much more advanced than me.

In undergrad I lived off of Sidekicks. I'd make one and eat the entire thing for dinner. It was delicious.

Sometimes I miss it (except for the fact that I might as well have been eating the contents of my salt shaker every night).
