We had photos taken for our company website today.
I'm still sick-ish. Much better, but not great. I feel like I could sleep for days. But, I dressed accordingly and came into the office. From (well-meaning, I know) co-workers, I heard:
"Your eyes are swollen! Are you ok?"
"Woah - you're so skinny. You've been really sick, huh? ..Not that I'm saying you look sick!"
"You look exhausted!"
From the photographer, I heard:
"Alriiiiight. Let's make this dangerous!"
I'm pretty sure the only thing remotely dangerous about me today was the chance that I might fall over on someone, but I giggled nonetheless.
I took yesterday afternoon off to sleep and am doing the same today. Tomorrow, I plan on feeling like a million bucks.

oh my dear Helen. I'm so glad you're feeling a bit better -- and taking good care to rest all you can get away with. You're a tough one! I hope your journey to full recovery will be all downhill from here -- like a speedy sled down a snowy hill, and just as fun. You've been on my mind. sending warm thoughts your way ...

Oh, what lovely comments to hear from others. :) Well, I am glad you are still smiling.
Oh goodness, I have been away from blogs (mine and others) for a wee while and I'm just catching up with what a rotten time you've been having! I'm SO sorry! I'm with Wren in wishing you a speedy recovery!
Thanks everyone!
My plan to feel like a million bucks seems to have worked - I've felt SO much better yesterday and today. And the exhaustion has finally begun to lift. I plan to take full advantage of it!
A plan to feel like a million bucks is about the best thing I've ever heard, especially if it works. I'm going to try it!!
I also recently had my first modeling experience. ~;o) Last week APL and I met with a potential wedding photographer and he offered us a free engagement shoot. I was totally exhausted from finals and driving to CA and I have a cold sore on my lip that just won't heal. I pretty much look like someone hit me in the face with a baseball bat. I also have some prednisone weight I'd like to loose before the wedding. But the shoot was free and we figured if he could make me look pretty in this situation, he'd probably be a pretty awesome photographer. Anyways, my point in this extremely long comment is that during the shoot the photographer kept saying stuff like "you guys look really great" and "this is going to be such an awesome picture" which i thought was pretty hilarious. But, actually, the pictures turned out really well. ~;o) The end of my long comment.
